Twilight
I'm probably in the minority here, but I do not think Edward is the best thing ever. I do believe that Edward and Bella deserve one another and belong with each other (soul mates, if you will). To me the werewolves, esp. Jacob, stole the story.
Jacob Black was realistic. He was a real character, who cared about the well being of his friend. He was in love with his best friend and tried (unsuccessfully) to not throw himself at her. I related with him. I think we all have been in love or crushing on a best friend at some point. Sometimes it works out, sometimes it starts off great and fizzles out, and sometimes it goes down in flames before it even starts.
I always felt bad that after everything Jacob went through in the 'love' department, he ended up imprinting on a newborn. I decided to try to write a Twilight fanfic in which Jacob imprints on an OC. I have an idea for another Jacob x OC story and will start it when I'm done with the first.
